The main concept behind this project is that this house forms an interface between the people who dwell in it and its relationship to the city, the community and the environment. This interface is suggested by the layering of the major spaces from the street, to the entry space to the water spaces, to the dining/outdoor small deck, finally to the living room/garden. On the second level the front layer is formed by the smaller bedrooms, with a bridge separating and leading to the master bedroom. The massing is formed by the two major living blocks connected by a glass and metal connecting space. This area is to provide light to the interior of the building. The entrance of natural daylight into all the major rooms is a primary concern. The exterior decks provide for enjoyment of the outside spaces with a garden getting a lot of good sunlight.
