SILK ROAD
Total Area: 290 sqm
Finally the largest restaurant commissioned is called the Silk Road. This project owns its inspiration to the Chinese lattice pattern. This pattern was taken and used three dimensionally in the ceiling. The various projections coming from the roof allow the open space to be divided into smaller spaces without loosing the sense of the large volume. These smaller spaces with the use of lighting provide an intimate space for the clientele and this was conceived as one of the main characteristics or nature of a restaurants eating space. There are surrounding booth type eating spaces with an additional Japanese eating room. The large open space also has screen walls that are designed based on various Chinese lattice motifs. The main entry space has a transitional space that is lowered to mark the formal entry into the dining area.
