FASTFOOD RENOVATION

Total Area: 60 sqm

The same restaurant chain came to us to request an idea for remodeling an existing facility. The concept for this proposal was a Chinese Garden. It had the traditional Fast-food cashier and ordering space housed in a temple like structure with the remaining area surrounded by a motif of a Chinese fence with tables and chairs containing Chinese patterns. The ceiling was made of painted wood ribs expressing movement and a darken sky. The exterior door design came from a castle door but is represented in glass.

BAMBOO STICK

Total Area: 110 sqm

A slightly larger restaurant named Bamboo Stick also a new concept was commissioned. Each of these projects had complete design of the food menu, tableware, signage, etc. and the interior design was our portion of the project. The flavor of this restaurant was a Southeastern Asia feeling with a strong Chinese influence. Traditional features from Thailand such as the wood walls and the detail of the cornice work were used in this design. The main serving area featured a small Chinese shrine like element. The overall planning consisted of individual dwellings linked by the main passageway that included a Chinese screen. This type planning can be found in Southeast Asian villages. The use of Bamboo came into play in the furniture. This design also included an exterior design of an open air eating space and facade design. The gate or entry area had a traditional Southeast Asian motif.
